You want to be understood, accepted, and connected.

You’ve been searching for a therapist that just seems like they’re “the one.” Like they’re going to be the cone to your ice cream…the snow to your mountain…the sun to your sky.

Ok that got dramatic, but you know what I mean.

You basically want a therapist that is THE bee’s knees. Right?

And feels like they get you, they know you, they are in your head, and they know exactly how to help you so you start to see some real, tangible change in your life.

And it can feel daunting to try and find that therapist and then to actually get a good sense of who they are and how they are from a snippet you read on the web.

I get it.

So let me tell you a little bit about me, don’t worry, it’s not going to be a bunch of professional mumbo-jumbo, it’s going to be real and to the point:

A spade is a spade with me.

I have been told that as clients work with me, they find me calm and compassionate. I am soft spoken and thoughtful while at the same time I will challenge you, and be honest and real with you. I’m practical, sincere, and value the therapeutic relationship.

I will absolutely bring in the silly, the weird, and have a dry sense of humor that gets infused into our session. Therapy can be a playful space to be curious about yourself and the world around you.

I am also 100% ready to get to work with you and create the change you want. I'm not a great therapist for those who just need to "vent". I'm more like let's feel the feels, do some deeper work, and move through it!

You have the innate wisdom and inner resources to heal, change, and be happy. I’m here to help you discover the best parts of yourself.

So if any of that sounds like we could connect, be a great fit, and you could see yourself really doing some great deeper work, feel free to reach out for a consultation to see if we could be an awesome fit, so you can finally do some healing.

Some types of therapy I use include eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, acceptance and commitment therapy, attachment theory, and parts work. If you’ve had therapy before, therapy with me might feel a little different.

The following informs my approach when doing therapy:

  • Stuck patterns are often a result of childhood experiences and how our brains got wired. Therapy helps us rewire our brains to heal.

  • I take an experiential approach and want you to know some things to do outside of our session.

  • Understanding your early relationships helps you understand your current relationships. We are wired for connection.

  • Depression, anxiety, and ptsd are not terminal, but things you can relate to in a different way.

  • Happiness means living a value driven, meaningful, connected, and present life.

  • Playfulness and authenticity are important in the therapeutic relationship.
